Succubus glamors quickly went from being a fun party trick/a way to get more mileage out of your artisanal sex slave/replacing whole wardrobes full of naughty costumes with whatever the pre-medieval Slave Leia and sexy nurse equivalents were... which I guess was actual slave costumes and sexy... witchdoctor? Anyway, it went from that stuff to having to slip past royal bodyguards, the skills of other arch-mages, even stuff like Faye court mages and demons and everything. That's why Dabbler was so impressed with Sydney's True Sight. Once you have a legit resource for spying and assasination like that, you're not going to limit to just snuffing out the occasional viceroy or even king. That's how you start toppling empires and ruling from the shadows.
"Widely ranged stock" being an incredibly delicate euphemism for mix and match body parts, organ farms, rooms full of hook chains and dangling torsos, attended by some guy with an apron so slicked with gore it just looks like he's got a side of beef strapped to his front. Possibly a pyramid shaped hat.

But If I'm building a magical slave, the first thing I would do is build in a geas to do no harm to me. Apparently, those skeevy wizards were more trusting than I am...or they turned it off for an S/M session which went a bit further than planned. Yikes! Remember your "safe" words, kids!

This is, hands down, the best mythology for what a Succubus is and where they came from that I've ever encountered in any story or religion, anywhere. Seriously, I love this because it is just so.... plausible... in a universe where magic is real and supernatural things exist. Far more plausible than any of the other ones I've ever heard. This is just fantastic and then some. Also, I agree with Max.

A more obvious - and much skeevier, but once you're at "custom made sex slave" I think we can all agree that that line has been well and thoroughly crossed - use for a perfect shape-shifting sex slave would be "that woman I've always lusted after but who treated me like a disgusting fool when I asked her out".

Yeah. I'm sure ol'Isaac meant well with his Three Laws and that it was more of a reaction to all the "Robot goes crazy murder spree" stories that were all the rage at the time, but as I grow older I'm less and less comfortable with the notion of a manufactured slave race, no matter how firmly their pleasure centers are hardwired to their obedience circuitry... Reminds me of an Asimov story. A mining company tweaked the Law of Robotics that prevented robots from harming humans. One of the robots started exploiting the reduced restrictions to, shock gasp awe, kill it's slavemasters.
