Um, there's not much besides them *to* see. I'm pretty sure everybody who saw the update saw them. I think the question is, did we recognize them? I think that depends entirely on how much ultimate smash bros we've played, or, alternatively, how much youtube or letsplay we watch.

Well, a hypercube is called a "tesseract". "Glome" seems comparatively restrained. One of my favorite SF shorts is about a tesseract built by accident. Sorry, though; nary a glome in sight. http://homepages.math.uic.edu/~kauffman/CrookedHouse.pdf

In pretty much Any system that interacts with living beings, especially sapient and sentient ones, there's going to be specimens willing to bend, stretch and break the rules to their own advantage if they think they can (nevermind if they actually can) get away with it. We see this with tribal monkeys trying to sneak food or things for themselves, we see it in birds who try to pass their eggs off onto other birds, thus shifting the burden of providing for the young onto the patsies. Never mind all the shenanigans we see with humans and thus, in the comic-verse, the idea that demons would do it too is so obvious that Tamatha is really showing how adorably naive she is by thinking her question would have an answer even remotely equivalent to "yes".

I'm guessing there is, basically, always some demon willing to bend, stretch and break the rules regarding the ban. The Shadow Council tries to rein them in when they find out about them but being boosted as they are at the time, it's rarely easy.
