You can't blame Varia for having second thoughts about checking out her gestalt interaction with Death Toll. Going from having no powers to absolutely wrecking the oppo like she is here, then back to nada. Not that touching DT is a guarantee of anything changing on that front, but he seems like a likely candidate if such a thing is possible.

Ok. But very different from Nemesis Kid, who's power was to defeat any one opponent. Very different than "counter the attack of" any one opponent. Ironically, while I would say that the former is better, for the reason that is obvious here, the later might have saved his life.

so, again, that's this power. he counters anything attacking him. if nothing is attacking him, why would his power matter?

If all you have to do is shut the door in his face, he can easily be beaten. Bob the Builder can beat him by building a cage around him, even normal people could catch him in a net.

Not quite. He can't easily be *beaten*, but he CAN be *thwarted*… You just have to avoid combat.
