Anyone else notice Deus looks a bit like Arnold Swartzenager in panel 2?

Brett Peirce

More like a vestigial accent. It only comes out sometimes.

Erin Palette

I'm terrible with names, and navigating the back archive is difficult for me, so someone please humor me when I say "I thought Ingsol had a dramatic Transylvanian accent?" I'm probably confusing him with someone else but for the life of me I can't recall whom.

Dalen Talas

Considering his recruitment of Lorlara... I bet Deus is being very literal about being "handsome and persuasive". Suggested spin-off: Deus arc as a harem comedy.

Hanna

The portrait in the last episode was also great.

Tie Toter

The art is amazing.

Greg Morrow

Chester A. Arthur presidential portrait. Deep cut. Nice!

Jacob Bissey

They were talking about Vale. Lorlara was brought up because she was visibly present and thus could contribute if things actually came to a fight, but she's not Deus' bodyguard and everyone present knows that. Vale is Deus' bodyguard and she's the one Ingsol considers a threat, the one that isn't visible, and the one Ingsol doesn't know what she is.

Town Crier

Deus should be ware of the good man. (ref.: Terry Pratchett)

Justaguy

More like the 70s. Think "Grease".

Justaguy

He's got gadgets for that. (Though sometimes you need to click the button twice).

Thorbjørn Steen

When a bodyguard was mentioned, I wasn't thinking Lorlara, but rather Vale. Given her effect on Sciona and mysterious nature.

Aclys

Maybe the d20 for your intimidation check is just to see how much dramatic lightning you have working for you at the time?

Enigma42

So is she like an old one or something cause oh boy that would be bad if she cut loose

Torabi

I think we all really do want to know. I also think Ingsol's assessment is better than his judgment.

Bharda Sullivan

Ingsol might be a product of the 14th Century, but he seems to have a natural affinity for the style of the 1980’s. It takes a certain kind of guy to make a popped collar & skinny tie look cool, and he’s got it in spades. I keep half-expecting him to launch into New Wave piano solo, or start belting out either Billy Joel or Huey Lewis cuts. Or, let’s be honest, pretty much anything by The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Smiths, or Lacuna Coil. Especially Lacuna Coil. ‘Deception’ is just such a banger of a vampire song.

Are we sure a "dramatic lighting aura" isn't also one of Deus' powers?
