you can just overwrite the game folder. saves are located in another location: C:\Users\"name"\AppData\Local\MANTIS\User Data\Default folder

When overwriting old versions with new, are saves automatically preserved or do I need to back them up somehow? Can't find the save file. What's it called?

It took me a few hours but it did download, it's really weird the next day I tried to download something else and it was somewhat faster.

I just can't get the file to download. I'm getting less than 100 K/s, and the transfer seems to choke and die long before it actually finishes.

Hi Darktoz, I really like the return of Dr. Horney and especially Mary! Thanks you for giving Mary her own plotline (or even her own building?). I like the idea that you can (and should) help Mary to set the whole thing up. Hopefully the protagonist get chipped somewhere Mary's story or something along those lines to mark it as her property... :) Overall great update! Keep on being awesome!

i have read that mega is lately really pushing their subscription model. once you reached your daily limit downloading becomes a chore. i will keep an eye on it. the thing is that there is currently no real good service out there that offers good downloading capacities for free.

Am I the only one that have trouble with mega? It download at only 50kb/s when my internet can do 200+ mb/s? Edit: it doesn't even download that slow it just always stop after a instant of download and take for ever to start again too again stop.

Yeah, I can take a look into it in the next week or so. You're using Windows as a dev environment I take it? That's probably why the permissions weren't set correctly. Unix (MacOS, Linux, etc) use fundamentally different methods of marking files executable. Zipping them up on a Windows machine wouldn't work. You'd have to create a 'dmg' or 'pkg' for MacOS or drop them into another Unix-like environment and go from there. I'll figure it out though and we'll work out a way of getting you the fixed directory.

Thanks to the instructions of Charger Pup it took me about 10 minutes- only because I have no idea what I am doing, I am NOT comfortable with using terminal AT ALL- to actually get it running. Thank you so much! You really helped me out.

thanks, i have to admit that i don't understand much about the app and mac os. I never used a mac. Would it be possible for you to fix the version and upload it so other mac users can use it? after you have done your real life obligations, of course

Yeah, um if this ends up a duplicate it's Patreon's fault. Seems to have eaten my first attempt. So the problem is the file permissions are set wrong in the .app directory. You'll need to be comfortable with the terminal to fix this. Each executable (identifiable by the file utility) needs to be set +x or at least u+x, or 755 will work. What I eventually did, because I was lazy and I wanted to make sure the program worked at all, was chmod -R u+x MANTIS.app (Afterall .apps are really just directories containing most/all of the files necessary to run a MacOS program). I'll work out exactly which files need to be set to executable later. I just wanted to be sure the program ran at all last night. It eventually did and got to the loading screen. I haven't had time to go further. I'll give it a deeper dive later this week I hope. I have a lot of homework to do between now and Weds.

the game creates a MANTIS folder when you start the game for the first time, if you have started a new game on your new laptop the folder should be there already and you can only copy that default folder. but you can also cope the whole mantis folder and overwrite the existing one, does not really matter

yes, of course: your save files are not stored in the game folder, but in C:\Users\"name"\AppData\Local\MANTIS\User Data\Default folder that means you have to copy that folder as well!

i dont know why might be becuse i press ctrl all the time but when i load some saves that worked like 2 min befor now they get black and nothing happens and sometime i get a bad reading or error i dont know why this is happening tho tought i shuld tell you anyways :)

you need to go on patreon. if you open it via email it most likely will not work because I uploaded a new one already. if you are on patreon just refresh your browser and it should work

weird. i have checked the skip function and there is no bug, the skip button still works like in the previous version. i would take a look if capslock is on or something else is on the keyboard...and if everything is ok maybe try redownloading the game
