Sorry, long post!

last year a was a pretty tough year for multiple reasons but one of causes, or maybe the symptom was that drinking had taken over my life. There were spans of time where I’d drink 10-15 days in a row. I kept trying to cut back but I was never able to make it stick. It was clear that I needed a REASON and “this is going really bad for you” wasn’t enough.
After months of self loathing I came up with doing a fitness shoot to celebrate my 10 year cosplay anniversary (I know that’s doesn’t make sense but stick with me). I have this photo from 10 years ago (photo on the left) saved to my phone and I’ve constantly gone back to it almost monthly thinking “this is the best I’ve ever looked, and the best I’ve ever felt.” Well last year I looked at it and thought “I can’t do better, I can feel better” and I immediately decided to take a few months and focus on my health.
It was the kick in the ass I needed to stop drinking, stop spending money on Uber eats, and to start taking care of my body and my mind. I took my time, I dieted in a slow healthy way, and after a few month I was ready to see the results.
I booked a shoot with Shaun, I shaved off all my body hair, and I DID THE GOD DAMN THING!
I can’t believe that 10 years after being in the best shape of my life, I was able to look EVEN BETTER! It’s was a really good mental boost and even though I don’t look like that now, I’m so fucking proud of myself for getting there in a way that made me feel good!
So yeah, all of this to say I have some fitness shots coming up soon and I hope you all like them!
Ps: I think everyone has a different opinion of how they prefer my body to be and I GENUINELY think that’s ok! If you like me with some weight, you like me ripped, you like me with body hair, you like me without, if you like my tattoos, if you wish I didn’t have them, THATS ALL FINE! Everyone is entitled to their options. Just know that I tend to do the things that make me happy so if I did something you don’t like, it probably because I’m trying to make myself love myself. I’ve spent the last 10 years knowing that my body is not my body; It’s the internets body.
