this works on its own! and iirc you actually CAN'T use it with the main menu overrides, cuz they contain this or something along those lines

Make sure you have the latest version, I thought I was up to date but came across this same issue and turns out my version was outdated and it's working perfectly now!

Hi! This mod is causing an error in my game - the entire main menu is black. I've tested it with it being the only mod in my game, and it's still doing it. do you have the color sliders mod by thepancake1/mizoreyukii, and is it updated? before the most recent update of the mod but after the recent Sims 4 patch, a lot of people were reporting black screens in main menu!

Reporting here that with the new update on 8/19 this breaks my game an a UI exception, actually the main menu is an unplayable glitched out black screen, haha. Hoping for a fix soon!

omg after trying to get into my game for over an hour i found this mod and finally im able to play. I stopped playing sims for a while because it just became unplayable it seems like its even worse now i dont even know how that's possible i miss origin. lifesaver omg, im just trying to play the sims but i keep getting that glitch where u cant do anything after closing the natures calling popup. ive opened my game about 14 times this morning, and this is the only thing that fixed this busted ass game. THANK YOU 🙏

Love this mod so much because I always had that stupid issue with the ads popping up right when game opened and then once i exited out id get that stupid overlay glitch and would have to completely exit by doing the task manager thing...so this is so awesome to have!

While this mod is a life saver, it would be cool if you could add the option to hide the news the side and get rid of the store red dot marker. Essentially everything you have done with the Refreshed Main Menu mod but just don't change the background or the family at all. ya know? Either way Love your work! you are amazing!

Thank you so much for this, I REALLY needed it! I have a lot of mods, and it takes ... a while ... for my game to load. It was really disappointing when I was excited to play after work, I'd get the game open, and there was an ad, I'd close it and the blue overlay was there and I had to close my game to get rid of it and I wouldn't be able to play that evening. So, really, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for this!

This is the first time in days I've been able to play. There is an issue somewhere in my game, but I couldn't get an exception to show up because the game froze on the ad. I was finally able to get pasts that and MCCC logged an exception. I can finally figure out my issue and play! Thank you, thank you!

It’s not compatible with other main menu override mods that alter backgrounds, features, etc. If you're interested in a main menu with extra features, you can check out Refreshed Main Menu 2.2, which is currently available in Early Access.

The pain of having a poopy PC, waiting like 10 minutes for the game to start up, closing the ad that appears, getting that overlay, then having to force-close with TM and redo it again. Always made me wanna punch the air. 😂 Thank you so much for making this! If only electronic arts had half the commitment and care that you do.
