Graphics alone don't make a good game. They don't hurt either. My kid plays hours on Minecraft more than fancy PS games. Without getting too existential, the older we get, the more life experience we have, so ultimately things repeat? The ennui of life. Or ... developers just following the game formula that pays!

Yeah, kinda tired of all the reboots, it's in the movies too. I kinda had that whole "nostalgia" phase over 10 years ago, but after that it's been tired to see all the same ideas recycled over and over again. With gaming I think they have reached the point that's hard to top off anymore, like just few years ago I was playing Assassin's Creed Origins. It was a decent game but it just felt like I had already seen that game like million times before (even when it was my first AC game). I can't really blame the developers, they're just doing what sells and what's the point of inventing the wheel if it just works already. There just haven't been a huge leap like we used to have from old pixel games to polygon games etc. Today's games a fine, they're well made but they just don't spark any kind of feelings inside me anymore.

I get you. Think gaming technology has reached a plateau? Or developers are taking on Hollywood idea: reboot, regurgitate, and reuse ideas?

Actually I still have lots of time, I just don't have the patience anymore. I guess gaming in general is just not that interesting to me anymore, or I feel that games haven't really evolved much in 10 years. They're kinda the same and maybe that's boring to me.

I think that's what I miss about being younger before family, obligations, and career. You miss those days when you had TIME and patience?

TBH, they say it's easier than the other Soulsborne games, even though it was considerably challenging for me, especially since I've never played one before this. It is fun though. As a Skyrim player my mind is full of potential builds I could play...

Sometimes it's satisfying to try something so hard and then finally get it. But I'm getting old enough to realize that I don't have patience like that anymore
