We really appreciate your contribution, Jony - every contribution is more than just the money; it's a concrete example of your belief in us and what I call The Mission. Stay tuned for a post in the next day or so providing a status date on the the first update's release. And don't worry about your English at all. If you are on Discord, you can talk to any of us there; what languages I don't speak I can always use Google Translate. If you have questions, we are here to anwer them for you. - Jack

Fingers crossed for a continuation worthy of the original game, and eventhough very small I wanted to contribute to this effort. I do not want to sound impatient on the first day but it has been 11 days since this post and I am questioning my English for the meaning of "over the next few weeks" :)

Oh, that's what I thought you meant. While it's a bit all over the map in terms of historical accuracy [it's fantasy after all], I think the current game uses a rough time period from early medieval to late medieval, mixing fantasy aspects that almost certainly blurs a lot of lines when trying to pin down an exact date in the mythological history of this game's Aerth. I think you'll find that most fantasy games are set in this period because they are the perfect setting for adventures to happen; they usually start in the aftermath [or immediately preceding] signifcant rises or falls of cultures, kingdoms and peoples. There is no real central control of society, which is in a sort of locally-managed freefall.

The atmosphere i was referring to is the feeling of the timesetting, the environment, the feeling that you get of a small village in about the timesetting of, say, 350 years ago (?). the detail of nature and lakes. I really look forward what you made of the game!

Hey FrankNL, I hope your new year is looking bright, because we are nearing the end of the initial development of the game's first update. We all really appreciate you guys hanging in there, while we sorted out the previous game’s bits and updated everything to more current coding, images and storylines. I think I understood what you meant when you referred to the ‘atmosphere’ of the old game, but maybe you could go into a bit more detail what you mean by that - if for no other reason than to confirm that we’re on the same page. We will be keeping the fun part of the game - the back and forth between Elly and the MC, the personalities of the different characters, etc. - but there will be some notable differences. You will understand a lot more about why the characters are the way they are, and you get to watch them develop as the game progresses. There will be darker bits to the game as well as more emotional content. A lot of the older game was seen solely from the view of the MC, whereas in the new game, you as the player get the chance to play from the POV of some of the other characters while they have adventures of their own. I am of the firm opinion that these side adventures bring back a new depth to the primary relationships between these characters and the MC. You will only see a bit of that in the first update, but it will become more frequent in subsequent updates. And I refer to the fans of the previous game as ‘veterans’, as they went through the fires of anticipation and disappointment while waiting for an update to the old game, only to experience the shuttering and abandonment of that game. We are all veterans in that respect, I think. If you have more questions, please feel free to write me here, or contact us via the Discord channel that has been created for the fans and players of the game, https://discord.gg/mVUdx2ZmKe

Happy New Year to all of you as well. I just hope we don't have to wait too long for the release! And I hope that you succeeded in keeping the atmosphere of the old game while new things are added to keep the 'veterans'as you call us satisfied. I really look formard to the game
