I was genuinely surprised by this album, the first listen I wasn’t sure how I felt but then on the second listen with the lyrics I ended up loving it, and it’s one of my favorites now🙌🏼

also handlebars is a pretty solid pop song but WHY does it seem more like a dua song than a jennie song ft. dua????? like jennie's voice almost disappears after the intro

some early blackpink stuff was absolutely stellar but my problem with them started when ddu du ddu du blew up. teddy (their producer and writer) seems to be just chasing the high of d4 over and over again so now every single song is just a d4 copy. i miss the times when we would get 'pink' (softer) title tracks./singles like as if it's your last or stay (or lovesick girls). also having every single song be them talking about how pretty, rich and better they are than everyone gets boring super quick. i think the girls have super pretty voices but i think they've gotten complacent :( i just wish they would really really experiment/do something totally unexpected. and this translates to their solo work. rosé went the most rogue with rosie but even then i just wanted her to push just a BIT more; don't even get me started on lisa's

My thing with this album is basically what I feel most of the time regarding every blackpink album: the coolest visuals, the greatest production amazing features and beat selection but not other substance other than let’s party, I’m rich and pretty and everyone hating cause I’m famous, which are great and dope listens but no a whole album about it. Which is why I loved Rosie cause it really did break out of that mold, and Jennie is like my favorite in the group so honestly I was expecting at least a song with “depth?” But yeah cool album nonetheless I just hope she continues to grow her artistry cause I love her voice and besides saying all this I feel like this is the best solo out of all the blackpink members, hands down with Rose’s being a close second

I love the music videos, I'm always a bit disappointed when artists don't put out any visuals. The animal in the Like JENNIE mv is a capybara, Jennie called them "the best creatures on earth" once haha
