I could tell from 0:01 that this would be the best deep dive and one that was a bigger labor of love than any other. It has been an honor and privilege getting to know you better as well as Charlotte as a whole. Over the last few years it is an area that has intrigued me, and this deep cut all but solidifies that I NEED to visit Charlotte in the near future for the first time. (Side note: having been born and raised in Louisiana, I MUST try Bojangle’s because I’ve always felt similar about Raisin Cane’s; it’s the toast and sauce that mostly ever got my attention, lmao.)

I didn’t grow up in North Carolina but I was just over the border in Virginia. My favorite memories were trips to Charlotte with my brother and parents and getting to see historic neighborhoods when visiting family there. It was a long trip so it was always a treat every summer.
