#34 - Recreating a Scene from Spirited Away - Episode 01
🕑 Added 2021-04-14 14:42:08 +0000 UTCFirst episode in this challenge where I recreate a scene from a Studio Ghibli film! You guys voted for Spirited away and that's what we are looking at in this one. I will have to break this up into parts as there are so many things going into making these.
In this first one we look at making the 3D environment with all its textures and in the next we can move on to the characters.
These are heavily time consuming to make but I always think its better to create something solid than to rush through it for the sake of making a video.

The murals are so beautiful! I have a 3d/2d project ahead of me where I basically need all the walls to be covered in paintings, writing and doodles. Would be a pain to place if I didn't have 3d, so I'm trying to figure that out.
Been doing some good progress on the character so that will be the next one š

Cheers Maurizio! Yes definitely. Forgot to mention the lighting setup. Can go over that in a future video for sure. I have just a white dome light that gives a general GI in the scene and then I slap a bunch of area lights around the scene . Mainly in the roof shooting down as there will be drawn lamps added later š
Very cool! Did you put any lights in cinema 4D to light the scene?
