If it arrives….sometimes an ambush is not so much direct against you but really to take responding rescue forces. In Nam that was one of their best tricks. Ambush a unit then set up to take out responding units. I’ve been on the ambushed side pinned down and rescue side getting shot at in a Huey trying to land in a hot LZ.
