I know I constantly mention the lighting, but how you guys approach color and lighting is so unlike most other comics out right now. Beyond the physicality and appeal of lighting a scene well (which is always beautiful, don’t get me wrong), I love how much intention behind lighting and color choices is present throughout the series. I immediately was drawn to how Wil’s first kiss with Des is warm and harshly angled, reflecting his own passion and uncertainty while still being romantic. Inversely, Desy’s first initiated kiss is ambient and cool toned, mirroring his own level-headed approach. It’s nothing short of great storytelling, and I will forever be here for it. Sorry for going on- I work as a Lighting and Surfacing artist in the CG industry, so I get excited when I see people excel at my passion 😂
