Like Mr CLFN said "I cherish our friendship" is good. "You are my dear friend" is also common in in english to express closeness to a friend platonically.

We have the same issue in Spanish for "te quiero" and "te amo", but the context helps understand Wil's intentions. Also, we love our babies talking their feelings out

Your translation is fine. But I suppose another way you could put it is "I cherish our friendship". Also, we emphasis the difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. Though I suppose that's mostly used to define a relationship.
