INCREDIBLE interview. You guys are doing god's work with pieces like this.

Surely one of the most interesting and important voices in the industry. I want to hear what he has to say about everything

His philosophy and obvious passion for what he does is incredible. I totally wanted to nerd out about yarn when he was talking about it lol

Amazing, amazing interview. He is so generous with his knowledge and so dedicated to, patient with, and passionate about his craft and the craft of those he works with.

Fynn Meyer

hey bliss that interviews pure fire! he is so unbelievably detailed and passionated about everything... dont know why but thought about haider ackermann alot while watchin this episode. I would love to see a video where u explain his history or impact a bit? for me hes a bit of a mysterium and hes really not much talked about!?

Elena Kharlamova

Thank you!!

Daniel Cury Haddad

What a masterclass, congrats for making this possible bliss

Luke

You two are the only ones doing this in fashion media. Your coverage is singular in kind and our lives are so much richer as a result of your two's existence. Thank you. Oh and GBS is pretty f*cking cool, too...

Natalie Sommerfeld

Wow. Thank you so much for this Bliss!! Amazing. This is incredibly inspiring for me as a fashion student. I am a "mature student" as I avoided the industry for so long because I never felt capable of making the changes I passionately felt about. But here I am doing it now and trying to make it happen. This interview was so good. How on earth does one acquire an internship or junior position with GBS?

I daro

Daamn, a 10-15 years just to convince some of the manufacturers to work with a smaller company? Daamn his dedication is amazing! Just heard about him earlier during your pants tour. Glad you got this interview with him. So many brands claim to be the best to justify the high price point but this is one of the brands that truly feels worth it in terms of the care they put into each and every part of the manufacturing process. This is what we expect from most luxury brands. Glad atleast not all is lost. Also I love that he shouts out the manufacturers working with his brand rather than keeping it really secretive. We love people who picks others up by giving out information rather than keeping it all to themselves!! Good job Bliss!

Micaelli

If not The best interview on this channel, the second one. Please go visit him I would love to see more of his process. Thank you for making this video!

aaarinzo

It’s almost heartwarming.

Willem Dijker

Really hope you will be able to do more interviews with him. He seemed to like you a lot. He was basically inviting you to come visit him :). Also I would have to loved to see you try on some of the pieces.

Willem Dijker

God bless the man.

Aimee Emerson

Now finished. Amazing bliss. Just pure enjoyment listening to Geoffrey. Loved every second of that interview and you’re so amazing for bringing it - thanks ever so much bliss!

Aleksander Markovskyy

What an incredible interview, thanks for making this happen, Bliss!

Alma

I find GBS truly beyond inspiring, what a luxury to get to see a long in-depth interview with him. The way he connects his craft to the politics of production and fashion is exactly what I wish to hear more about in fashion coverage, I'm so glad you could give him a platform to do so.

Angus Kilgore

He's a realist. He's not above the business but understand the need for craftmanship. I'm not a fan of everything he makes, but I can admire the man's gumption.

Bliss Foster

i'm saying!

Cc O

He seemed genuinely impressed with your knowledge! So proud!!!!! Great interview

Ralica Darmova

It`s delightful! Thank you!

Aimee Emerson

Wow! I’ve always been intrigued when you’ve eulogised about GBS before so this interview was pure gold bliss! Whatta guy ! Soooo cool. I love his encyclopaedic knowledge on every last detail; clearly way beyond even the best names we hear more about. Like he said, they spend their money on the product as opposed to its hype - so cool. I’m half way through and was loving it so much I had to thank you bliss - top work! How you managed to get this done I don’t know. Outstanding and such a treat. Right, back to the rest!

Pedro 4d

this is what true love for the craft is

Anson W.

Just finished the interview. This guy is AWESOME! Not to sound old fashioned or idealistic, but he clearly has honor in a legitimate way. He enthusiastically gives props to the artisans he works with, respects the people who work for him, and holds the industry accountable verbally and through action! Leading by example in a major way. My mind was blown when he said he only produced 1,818 pieces last year. What he said about the shift from independent companies to giant corporations/conglomerates was super insightful too. This isn’t the same thing but it reminded me of when Chuck D of Public Enemy talks about how the lack of crews and groups in Hip Hop has come to its detriment by way of lost camaraderie. In a way, the shift towards massive soulless corporations has deprived the industry of the former camaraderie and beneficial collaboration and competition there once was. It’s also negatively affected the consumer, of course, in more ways than one. Man, I just can’t get over how cool Geoffrey seems. Rare to see someone so principled in business, period. Huge thanks and props to you two for bringing us these interviews, man. These really are the best interviews in the industry
