Brazenthrone - Greenstone Hall
🕑 Added 2020-10-04 02:00:05 +0000 UTCGreenstone Hall is a residential district of Brazenthrone with a large, green crystal formation embedded in the floor. Discovered when the chamber was excavated, not much is known about it other than the fact that it's magical. Once seen as a cause for concern, it's managed to blend into the background after eight centuries of not causing any apparent problems.
With this chamber finished, we've got three more parts of Brazenthrone left to do, the next of which will be the Iron Mines. But before that, I'll be drawing last month's Cartographic Congress winner, a hanging wizard’s tower built into a stalagtite. It's a concept that allows for some unusual design decisions compared to your standard tube of rocks poking out of the ground. I think it might lead to something pretty interesting when it's finished. Well, I'll be back with it in a bit and we'll see!

Cool, are you using the Warhammer setting or just borrowing Skaven from it? Setting up the whole city would be a lot of work for sure. I don't know what your plans are, but if it's possible, I always suggest using Brazenthrone a bit at a time. Plan out a session or two in a small area-- one or two chambers-- then plan another in another area, and so on. If you're planning to run a sandbox-style game and give your players the run of the whole city, I guess setting it all up in advance is hard to avoid, but, if you can do it a piece at a time, I would. And if there are parts of the city you don't want to use, you can always "collapsed tunnel" them away. Anyway, good luck with it!
Wow, pretty darn close. I am planning a campaign centered around brazenthrone. Going to be a siege where half of it is occupied by dwarves, and the other half by Scaven. I am both looking forward to and terrified of the time when I have to set all this up in a VTT.

How close is brazenthrone to being "done." Or at least the major areas being finished.
