Consulted panamabiota.org and checked herbarium specimens for what could be local then narrowed it down. Traits are hard in Cyathea and I'm not even sure what the key breaks are (or how useful or garbage they are)

Awesome stuff! Can I ask, how did you ID that Cyathea sp. and what ID characteristics to look for? INat algorithm will rarely have a clue re Cyathea species, cheers
