Hugo Martin on DOOM 2016

I know you all want to hear more from Hugo so I've rushed this one out. Enjoy over 70 minutes of myself and Hugo Martin chatting about games, films, storytelling and game design. I had an absolute blast talking to Hugo and ended up being one of the brightest stars of entire series. I hope you enjoy this early access to his extended cut!
Loads more extended interviews coming over the next few days by the way. Mick Gordon is up next by popular demand.
And again, thank you all so much for your patronage. It means the world - this series in particular would not have been possible without your support.

Totally NOT overthinking why there's an unopened copy of Skyrim on his desk in full view...

Ok, another amazing video that I think is a must watch for creative professionals. I like how he talks about the design, components that got into it and major challenges that stood in the way. Thank you for sharing this Danny!

I think I could watch Hugo talk forever. How awesome would it be to see him on the GB couch at E3?

BTW, here's the archive of the ExcessiveProfanity stream Hugo mentioned: <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/excessiveprofanity/v/66387970" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.twitch.tv/excessiveprofanity/v/66387970</a>

This documentary got me to chip in to your Patreon. The full Hugo Martin interview is the cherry on top. It doesn't surprise me he used to do stand-up comedy; DOOM's serious absurdity feels like it would take some comedy experience to nail.

What an unbelievably likable smart guy. So glad people like him are making our games. His passion bleeds through. Danny, the stories your telling are incredible and necessary, and in doing so are putting a human face on the games we love, letting us see the developers and how much they care.

Had to bump up to $10 a month because your work has been so good and I couldn't wait to watch more of it. Thanks Danny!
