Base Sandbox Information
🕑 Added 2023-09-06 17:37:37 +0000 UTCIn an effort to get the sandbox back out to you all as quickly as possible, we've brushed the dust off our archive and ran some quick checks to ensure things still work. You may hit some antivirus warnings as these haven't been publicly used in over a year. It is also just inside a zip file since it came from our archives, we will work on a better distribution system via a launcher of some sort. Let us know if you run into any issues! Thanks again for everyone's patience.

Install Instructions
Windows
- Download from here: https://prod-cdn.battlenations.net/base-sandbox/BattleNationsBaseSandboxWin130.zip
- Right-click on the downloaded zip and choose Extract All...
- Open the extracted folder and double-click on Battle Nations Base Sandbox.exe. Do not try to run the exe from within the zip file!
- You'll probably see a Windows Defender prompt that you'll have to click Advanced and then Run anyway (Or some similar combination)
Mac
- Download from here: https://prod-cdn.battlenations.net/base-sandbox/BattleNationsBaseSandboxMac130.zip
- Double-click on the downloaded zip. It should automatically extract
- Double-click on the newly extracted App
- You'll probably see a message saying the app needs to be updated. If you don't see an open option, you may need to reopen it again by holding down the ctrl key, right-click on it, then choose open. If that doesn't work, you may also need to go to the settings menu, open security and privacy, then allow the app to run. Apologies for the inconvenience, this will be fixed
Linux
- Download from here: https://prod-cdn.battlenations.net/base-sandbox/BattleNationsBaseSandboxLin130.zip
- If you're running Linux, you should be able to handle this

The original release date for the beta has been pushed to mid October.

The base sandbox will not receive any updates as the team is focused on delivering the proper beta version. The proper beta will get updates though.

The base sandbox only has base-building capabilities, there aren't any combat elements. However, we have allowed a lot of functionality not normally in the game like building non-player buildings and moving normally immovable terrain.

This sandbox is limited to just the base building mechanics. Our team is now working on a full release of the game that will include both the sandbox's building mechanics and the rest of the game's missions and combat. Which will be provided to all of you for a closed beta!
