I'm sure some of you know already, but let this old man rant a little about our team name, "Mutt & Jeff". It's police slang for the "good cop bad cop" interrogation technique. While TD and I share similar tastes and opinions on many things, there are some core subjects in which we are typically at odds. In the beginning it was mostly about how depraved and harsh some scenes were, but nowadays it's all about how long and detailed the scenes and updates are. I worry a lot about reasonable dev times while TD wants everything as detailed and meaty as possible. This creates a ton of tension between us and it's a headache sometimes.
The current update we are working on is absolutely bonkers in terms of content. There's big branching, navigation, back to back to back sex scenes... While we're still at around 1500 images, there are a lot of animations in already, and I still have to shoot a lot more. In our opinion, probably the single greatest update we have done so far. But that comes at the price of a long dev time. You can blame TD for the wait, but also for the long, juicy scenes to come, and the amount of player control over them.
I think we're close to finishing, but there's still important work to be done. We think the update might be ready early to mid November at the latest, it's hard to say. I ask you for little more patience, and I assure you it will be worth it. What we have already in store is some of the stuff we're most proud of since working on this project. The first summer exhibiton will be glorious.

Mutt and Jeff, as others have stated, DON'T stress about release times. You folks, I think, are making an incredibly well developed game. And also set a high bar on what a great adult game should be. And lastly, Pale Carnations is your baby. Release what you want the game to be, instead of doing a remake later on.

Don't sweat it guys, your release times are more than acceptable considering the amount of content you put in the game. Personally i'm with TD here, its wise in my point of view to do things properly so you don't regret something afterwards, even if it affect the development time. 3~5 months is very acceptable with that amount of content, if it would take longer, then it will take longer. Its little dum trying to fight some timetables if you are not satisfied with the current content and you would need to release update, what lacks content that you want in there. This is just my opinion, no need to take it seriously, lol. Also i understand your point of view GIL, quantity/fast updates is always nice but quality is more important to me.
Don't stress over release times. If the content is good most people are willing to wait.

Love how in a post where you talk about arguments over how depraved the scenes are going to be, you show a scene where a bunch of jaded, depraved old men looked shocked. I guess we know how that argument turned out, lol. As far as the dev time goes, while I'd like for there to be a shorter turnaround, as long as you guys are communicating with us I'm fine with longer wait times.
