No mincing words, progress has been the slowest it has ever been since our initial release. We are currently at 1150 images and 35 animations for Ch3Up2.
The reason for this rests with me. The lead I have on GIL with my writing has simply evaporated in light of my father's health situation. Progress is still being made, but I thought I should give you guys a heads up in case the situation turns for the worse.
My dad's been battling stage 4 colorectal cancer for three years and he's had a good run, but it was finally time to take him off the chemo and try other things. His next option was a surgery that took place a little over a month ago, which in turn led to another two surgeries due to complications arising from the first. This has had a grave toll on my father's body and mind. Three surgeries would be a lot for a healthy adult in a week's time, but he weighed only 97 pounds going in. So I hope you can imagine.
He came home a two weeks ago, but his condition declined. As of a couple days ago, he's back in the hospital. Things are in a liminal state right now. Very, very unsure. He could still get better, but he may also just have weeks left if his nutrition doesn't improve so he can regain his strength.
Since he's now back in the hospital, and I don't have to help my mother care for and watch him, I'm hoping to build back my lead in the coming days. However, I'm explaining this, because in the event of his death (I'm still hopeful he'll improve), GIL will pause our patreon as I'll likely be out of comission for a week or so to grieve and deal with obligations.

GIL's note-- Hey guys, not much to add but just wanted to say TD has been soldiering through all this the best he can, ofc it's hard for him to keep up after spending all day taking care of his dad and coming home beat, but he's been trying. I'm proud of him as a partner and as a friend.
We'll pause billing in the unfortunate event he needs to take a break. I'll keep you informed. Please keep him and his dad in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you kindly for your support.

I’m really sorry about what’s happening to your father, please focus all your attention on him. All of us will be here supporting him and you, and hopefully it all turns out for the best. Take as much time off as you need and spend it with your family. Best of wishes

Not much to say that hasn't been said, but I'll say it again anyway. I'm sorry to hear that your father is still in poor health. I'll keep hoping for the best, and don't worry about taking the time you need.

Ya man i totally understand, lost my dad to cancer after 1 year with it, and more recently my sister, so i personally understand how stressful this stuff is, and theres no shame in taking a break if things are getting stressful. I dont think any sane person would. i wish you and your family the best.

My best wishes to you and your family TD. I know the pain, I went through something similar with my mother several years ago. Please remember to care for yourself, it may seem selfish but its not. Also I have no problem supporting you, at least financially, through this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad's condition and will keep my fingers crossed that he recovers and has a few more good years with his family. I know from experience that a situation like this can take a huge toll both physically and mentally on the immediate family and I wish you all the strength you need to see this through!
