[EARLY VIDEO] The Diamond Valley Railway!
🕑 Added 2024-02-23 03:55:13 +0000 UTCHi everyone, here it is! This video was a heap of fun to put together, and was largely set in motion by the DVR president, Tyler Howie, who appears in the video. As a sort of appendix to this video, I've also uploaded a cab ride featuring two runs on the railway: first a full lap of the normal circuit on a steam loco, then a second special run taking unusual routes to demonstrate the flexibility of the signalling. And apparently it now runs on left over raman broth?? Not sure how accurate that is or how the logistics of it would work but regardless it's a very fun idea!

That sounds like a very Japanese thing to happen in a tunnel haha. Sounds cool!

What a neat place! They had a similar sort of operation in Japan when I visited & when you went into a tunnel the little train would project lights up onto the roof and play music. It was the coolest!

Great video. I thought the location looked familiar and just now I found a photo I took from a train pulled by Pauline entering one of the tunnels back in 1989.
