The constant rainfall of embers coats every statue
As you approach the black iron gates, the sky above chokes with ashen clouds and the air grows acrid with the scent of brimstone. Once a place of solemn tribute to the departed of Elturel, this cemetery now stands as a twisted shadow of its former self, dragged into the Nine Hells along with the rest of the city. The grand mausoleums lie cracked and scorched, their once-pristine marble stained with dark soot. The constant rainfall of embers coats every statue and tombstone, as though marking them for infernal judgment.
In the distance, swirling motes of crimson light flit through the gloom, hinting at the infernal presence lurking among the graves. Shadows stretch and distort across the cracked pathways, almost alive with malevolent purpose. A disquieting hush blankets the grounds—no birds, no rustling leaves, only the distant clash of fiendish battles echoing from the city above. It is a graveyard poised on the brink of damnation, where restless spirits and infernal creatures alike may rise to challenge any who dare disturb this scorched and fallen sanctuary.
Ben's Notes
Two Thematic Variants: Gothic Horror (eerie fog, twisted trees, classic Diablo feel) and Hellish (“Hellturel” dragged into the Nine Hells).
Maps & Sceneries: Each variant includes 6 animated battlemaps and 6 matching animated sceneries (12 total per variant, 24 overall). Plus, 2 unique intro sequences—one for each theme.

We didn't realize that users would also want to set up the source data in other VTTs themselves (normally everything is integrated directly into Foundry via Moulinette). Thank you for the feedback. Our content at Beneos Battlemaps and Sceneries has not been rated by any public rating board. However, we strive to create content that refrains from glorifying violence and brutality. While our fantasy adventure maps may contain traces of violence or depict grotesque creatures, these elements are not the focal point of our creations. In the spirit of fostering a safe and inclusive gaming environment, we self-rate our content and suggest it is suitable for users aged 12 and up. Hey Andrea, those are absolutely understandable points. But the answer is simple: it's about modularity. The term “gothic horror” implies a westernized style and architecture, largely influenced by Christianity. So that you can use the graveyard in medieval or Cthulhu systems, it makes sense to deliver what is expected. I think it's harder to justify unknown fantasy content in a real world setting than known “real world” content in a fantasy setting. It was therefore a conscious design decision.

Beautiful maps, just one note....why the crosses? Crosses on the coffins, crosses on the tombstones, crucifix in the Church...we are in a fantasy world, precisely in Elturel, so I would expect the symbols of Torm, Tyr, Latander, Illmater, etc..or nothing, but the crosses? They remain difficult to justify to the players
