Wow what a powerful episode. If anyone has ever been a part of a long-term relationship in dissolution a lot of these anecdotes really hit home. If one thing translates across time, its divorce.

Your discussion of the reasons why Napoleon was chronically unfaithful was very interesting. I wonder if this was (conscious or not) another attempt to be like Caesar, who was also very publicly and constantly having affairs. On that point, Caesar often used his affairs as a political tool - he made his rivals (and sometimes friends) into cuckolds. Is there any indication Napoleon also used his affairs in this way?
