This chapter just reminds me how great this series is. 😎

Man. I hope LF stops thinking so little of Fu. I really hope he gets a bit more of that kindness back in him. Me and a lot of others were hoping that the librarian’s death would be a catalyst to make him act more kind again.

Wilson

Did Song San get the sky grade techinique that the poison ghost had hidden? I recall him mentioning it to Hu Jin.

Undead Writer

Thanks for the chapter! Love that MC actually has feelings for her

TFTC!

This last arc feels unfocused and chaotic. The pacing is all over the place, and it's not clear what the central conflict or goal is anymore. Characters seem to be acting without clear motivation, and the stakes aren't building in a meaningful way. As a reader, I'm struggling to understand what the arc is actually leading towards.

Flippu

Ingest the poison and try to play with the mental Sky technique and see how it affects the poison? Depends on how curios he is since he kinda did the same with the Owl bodysnatcher lol

StarBat

I bet song San is just saying hi in his twisted way. He didn't actually try to kill LF.... Okay he did but didn't try very hard, fully expecting him to deduce it was him. Song family shenanigans. Or maybe that immortal tomb guy who gave him his library. Trying to yoink his body too. Guy did alchemy.

I can’t believe he just grabbed the poison made by a core formation expert and put it in his pocket. What if it was all a scam and the poison is contact activated. What if the vial has some mechanism to explode in his pockets.

Nah the dude become core cultivatier beside it is not even guaranteed is him.

I don't know why I'm this happy about the survival of a fictional character. Honestly, Fu Yating is really smart in her own subtle way. People often have this idealized idea of what it means to write an incredibly intelligent character — like they must predict every scenario and never be at a disadvantage. But the truth is, people can't predict the future. Fu Yating was dealt a difficult hand: average cultivation talent, a family that betrayed her, and a somewhat insufferable fiancé who’s incredibly paranoid. She might genuinely like the main character, not necessarily because he was kind to her, but because he respects her intelligence — something she clearly takes pride in. His constant paranoia might even be a testament, in her eyes, to just how much he values her mind. But respect alone doesn’t sustain a relationship. Still, she chose honesty over manipulation. And humans are humans — spending that much time with an attractive woman who cooks good food, shares thoughtful conversation, exchange insults and whose company you genuinely enjoy… it was bound to lead to something more and his hesitation was enough prove to her

Yay, FY is still alive and kicking! And they're even closer! But yeah, spooky coincidence that it has a Rat component... What if it's Song San warning that he knew LF was watching? With that specific technique?

TYFTC, damn now I really want to see Liu Feng vs Song San, with his new powers and some preparation It should be doable?

JackDaniels Petkovic

Hmmm so the poison is something different then what was stated before. And it's similar to the experiment he just did with the rat king.
