Isometric Souls ► EITR Preview

The devs were nice enough to give me a demo to share with the world, and I was really impressed by what I saw. Let me know what you guys think.

I don't know why, but the moment i saw this video on "EITR", I got so excited I could barely contain myself! XD I can't wait for the game to be released! :D

On the one hand, I love to see the Souls franchise inspiring other work, and this does seem like it has a lot of promise. Good on the deva of this game for capturing that tense Souls feel and the methodical combat style. If I had to levy one critique at the game, though, it would be that everything feels just a little bit too slow. Souls-like combat (bloodborne excepting) should be slower and more methodical, but to me it feels like this one is overdoing it just a bit. I wonder how the game would play if you scaled the models down somewhat to give them a little more screen space to move around in and introduced just a tad more mobility? Not too much, but enough to make it feel like the characters aren't slowly plodding through the blight town swamps. xD
