(The picture is something I forgot to mention. I found it in a charity shop years ago and bought it for a laugh cos it was so disturbing. I've recently discovered that Winter not only 'loves it' but also 'talks to it'. Which is fine.)

So in french you have c 'est , ces, ses.. (Respectivly it is, these and his/hers) all pronounced exactly the same: Like the Se in serum. You also have vers, vert, verre, ver, vers which are all pronounced exactly the same, and two are written the same but mean respectivly: in direction of, green, glass, worm, a verse.
