This months reward available and difficulties I've been having
🕑 Added 2019-10-19 01:52:03 +0000 UTCAs mentioned earlier, I would like to talk about why it takes me so long to finish drawings in a little more detail.
As an artist I'm not a pro, or anywhere close to being one. At my level, to make decent quality art it takes huge amounts of time and effort, and I still often end up finding mistakes afterwards(earlier I even noticed this months reward has some small errors, and I'll be uploading fixed versions of the last four images shortly). Trying to run a Patreon with my current skills is not that smart a decision for me, but I'm just really stubborn about pursuing art in some way.
For my recent works I've been trying to draw as many different variations in a set as I can, which ends up being really time consuming(especially if I'm changing more than just facial expressions in each one). Of course, no one's asking me to draw so many variations, I just chose to do so because I'm kind of a masochist, but for future works, I'll try to keep it to a maximum of five. I may even move away from doing these image sets(or at least do them less frequently) and focus more on just doing stand-alone drawings. This would increase the likelihood of me finishing works on time, and may even enable me to put out more individual rewards per month.
Aside from having limited time to work on drawings, I also have long-term health issues and a few other things that drastically slow me down, which I don't want to talk about much since I'd rather people be able to enjoy my work, without having to be concerned with my personal problems. And I guess I can't really prove to everyone that I'm telling the truth about those problems anyway, unless I were to divulge some very personal information.
I've been wanting to avoid apologizing too much since I know it just comes across as insincere after a while, but I really am sorry about all the delayed works. I can't guarantee I won't have more issues with lateness in the future, but I can promise that I'll always put all my effort into every work, and I'll always see them through to the finish, however long it takes. I'll also make absolutely sure to never overcharge people, so even if I'm really late or appear to have gone quiet please don't worry, I'll pause the billing whenever I have to.
If possible I'd still like to try and stick to my plan of releasing works at the start of each month, though considering how far into the current month it is, doing that for my next work is unlikely to be manageable(I'll still be uploading a new WIP later this month). And if I do need more time, it would be better if I don't say things like "by the end of the week" in case I'm still not able to finish by then. It might even be better if I don't give a specific deadline after all, to save the trouble of having to apologize every time I can't meet it, or at least make it something like "within the first half of the month" so I can allow myself more time if I need it.
Sometime I'll probably try experimenting with some different methods to see if I can find a faster and more efficient way of drawing, then hopefully I won't have this problem with slowness anymore. Anyway, sorry again and thank you for putting up with things until now.
TL;DR: I'm really slow but as long as you don't mind waiting, I promise not to let you down.

Well geez Man, or woman... I'm not sure what gender you are, you've kind of shown us enough of a reason to like your work, and with how much you've been catering to us and always thinking of us, it's hard not to ignore your kindness even in these niche sort of drawings, a one of a kind person that people rarely see. I'll post more about you in the discord sometime later, but really, people over there on the discord might be in it for the pics, or might just be too socially awkward to speak their mind, but I think alot really enjoy your art and care about your well being. Please, put in your best interest to take care of yourself. We'll feel more worried about you than we would the art.
