Marcel feel like he can talk to The Originals the way he does because they were his family. You’re not gonna be afraid to talk to your estranged family member when the emotional tie outweighs anything else.

I think the point of the Klaus and Cami scene was to show that Klaus does care about her, but also blurs the line between doing something nice for someone and allowing them to choose their own path. He’s been compelling her since he came to town, but this is the first time he’s done it solely for her own benefit. It wasn’t his choice to make, but in his own fucked up way he was being kind.

The next episode is one of my favourites of this season! Side note: Klaus pushing Tim off the balcony reminded me of Homelander pushing Ryan from a roof 💀
