I had to skip ahead in my catching up on your reactions to comment now. I cry every time I watch this episode. You are right when you say that in this episode Luz and Amity feel so real. This episode is probably my most favourite in the show, but there is a lot of close contenders for that spot. Either way, I do think this was the episode that cemented the show as perhaps my favourite. I cannot think of another show or movie that makes me just feel the same way as this episode does. And it definitely secured Luz's spot as perhaps my most favourite fictional character of all time. Also I just love the fact that Luz is wearing Eda's grudgby jacket. It really suites her and has that bond with Eda. Which I also love when Eda and Alador refer to Luz as her child in this very episode. The side plot with Edric, Emira, and Eda was also fantastic to see. I just love how this show can take characters who you wouldn't even think of meeting and having them engage in entertaining ways that also drives the story and their character development. Also in English those marks on Emira's face are called a pimples or zits. It was also so refreshing to see Alador not even questioning the fact that his daughter is dating another girl. The fact that Luz and Amity keep showing all the right ways to have a loving and supportive relationship with each other and the fact that everyone treats their relationship just as normally as a hetro one is truly wonderful. I think that's enough gushing from me now. I absolutely love this episode and this was another absolutely fantastic reaction from you. Thank you feeling like you could share that story with us. As always I loved your thoughts and analysis too. We are nearing the end of season 2 now. But for a final fun fact, the tree Luz and Amity talk under was the Grom Tree.

One thing I started noticing about this point in the series is how much what Luz has gone through wears on her. Look at Luz even in the last episode, and compare to the first episode. She's gone from this bright bubbly person who is misunderstood to... someone pushing on to try to deal with oppression and tyranny. Just do a side by side of her character, her face. makes me tear up
