Yeah, those "risqué" bits are not as "risqué" on GBA of course, but they are still present. Although I didn't see them myself, I know you can "save ladies" in GBA version as well. In any case, I am really happy that I found this game even though it's year 2026 now :)

AKAMAN

I am only doing my part, citizen. ^^

AKAMAN

I googled “Babarian and Babarian box art” but found nothing, so I’ll just have to take your word for it. :)

AKAMAN

Thank you Trevor ^_^

AKAMAN

Yeah, the whole idea of the Framework is pretty great. If all goes well and they continue to stay in business I may actually consider getting my next laptop from them sometime in the future. :)

AKAMAN

Thank you Ace. I hope you are doing well too.

AKAMAN

As far as I know those princess liberation sequences had pretty sexy scenes at the end as well. :)

AKAMAN

You made me google for "IT CAME FROM THE DESERT", man those graphics must have been mind-blowing at the time 0_0

It’s progressing slowly. I don’t like dealing with bureaucracy, and Steam has a lot of it. Usually, I force myself to get back to it once every couple of weeks, send them another document they’ve requested, and then, a couple of days later, they ask me for yet another one. I read the email, yell into the void, and decide to give up on it for another couple of weeks. And the cycle continues—for several months now. I haven’t given up entirely just yet, though. I will continue to suffer for you, TrapHunter69!

Avy the skater, what game is she from?

MrLazare

Funny seeing Defender of the Crown mentioned! I first played it on Commodore 64 and then on Atari ST back in the day, but everyone always agreed the Amiga version was the prettiest and most iconic of the originals, really pushing what home computers could do in 1986. I think the GBA version you are talking about trims or simplifies some of the more "risqué" bits that appeared in the older releases (like the animated princess‑rescue sequences people still reminisce about from Amiga/C64 😉), so in a way it’s a bit “PG‑ified” compared to those classic feels. Also hype that we finally know the skater girl’s name is Avy !!!

thank you for another monday npost

The box arts of Barbarian and Barbarian 2 are also very nice.

Ayyyy, you having found some great classic games sounds like good enough and plentiful enough news to me! Have fun and know we're all happy you are doing so! You deserve it for all the enjoyment you bring us.

DeadMan

Good news with the handheld and as for Frameworks, they have been around for a few years other than price, the laptop are pretty good. Easy upgrade and repair was the original goal. With modules you can quickly and easily change I/o configuration, cpu/gpu also. I would try high end gaming on one, but most things are just fine.

Ace

Fantastic news, happy that things are going well.

You weren't kidding. Defender of the Crown has one heck of a cover for a game first made for the Amiga of all things. Like I'm mildly surprised they got away with that much boobage for a random game cover in the 80s.

Timesprout

Loved the Cinemaware games. Defender of the Crown was the first, but my favourite was IT CAME FROM THE DESERT!!!

TrapHunter69

How is the Steam release going? I'm ready to buy the deluxe edition with all DLCs, skins and season passes
