QUICK UPDATE!
I just wanted to let you know that we’ve been making slow but steady progress in building back the Patreon support. We’re now at 657 Patrons and $4,363/month in support. There’s still a ways to go before we’re back to sustainable, but this is real progress! I really appreciate all the new and long-time Patrons who’ve been stepping up over the last week. I’ll give a bigger update later, but I wanted to let you know what was going on in a little note, without pulling focus from our guys’ kissing! 😉
AND SPEAKING OF KISSING
I have a special poll up right now for Patrons where I ask “Do you want to see more kissing between Flyboy and Spooky?” What’s going to happen in this chapter has already been written, but I could still change how some things happen in the next chapter. In the comments, over the last year or so, the most consistent (and passionate) thing I’ve heard is that y’all don’t want to see any kissing between these two. And so I’ve assumed that’s been the general consensus. But I want to make sure I get an accurate sense about how folks are feeling about this overall. So, if you’re a Patron (or are planning to support), please be sure to answer that poll before it closes on Friday!

So! Flyboy is kissing Spooky! Spooky is kissing Flyboy! And they both seem to like it! There’s even some laughter! (We already know how ticklish Spooky can be…) And in the end, our wizard is left speechless!

I shared a bit about the concerns I heard in my reply to Guy above, and I don't think they were anti-fun—it's more about a strong love for Kyle, really—but as I said, it is very good for me to hear some different perspectives. :)

In fairness to those who objected, I don't think it was about prudery, Guy. The biggest concern seemed to be about protecting Kyle's feelings in the future. Or that kissing Teen Spooky now would be an act of betrayal of Kyle on Flyboy's—thus pushing Mitch over a moral event horizon. Some just preferred to only think about Spooky with Kyle. And some folks felt that Spooky hadn't done enough to earn Flyboy's affection. It's definitely good to hear some different perspectives, though! I hope the actions hasn't been too generic! ;) But I'm glad to hear you're liking the kiss! (And, when we switch back to Fallen, there will be a lot more where that came from, since that is primarily a romance arc.)

Exactly, Mistral. Over the last year or two, I heard from lots of folks in the comments and in email that they didn't want to see Flyboy and Spooky kiss. And I'd assumed that was the general consensus. But the current poll seems to be giving me a different perspective. :)

Great page! I hate to be negative, but the "loudest voices" are usually what we used to call busybodies. I think they're called Karens or Male!Karens now, but the real term is Killjoy. I read superhero comics to be entertained, and boys kissing entertains me. Not sure what some people have against fun, but I'm glad the new poll (last I checked) confirmed the silent majority is very much real.

Hallelujah! FINALLY! Alex, had I known that the prudes were bitching about the boys’ kissing, I would have spoken up sooner in favor of them being allowed to be 16 y/o boys. This one page makes up for months and months of generic action adventure comics, as far as I’m concerned.
