It's the last vestige, Julian. I thought it was important to show that it was down to its last little bits, so folks would know it was truly disappearing all the way, instead of just opened up some.

It’s a five-way tie on this page! In the end I went with panel 2 - the eyes behind the sunglasses communicate a lot about Mr. Bad Guy. It’s a contrast to the great over-the-top action on the rest of the page. Sunglasses are usually used as a copout so you don’t have to draw the eyes…😉
