Thanks for your comment, PeeM. People losing interest is definitely my main worry. I will be making an effort to post more content between updates.

Late for the party, but I'm with KoGa3 here. I mean I can wait, no problem, but I still like frequent updates more. Plus I think they are better for keeping up interest. But it's dev's decision, so I'll adapt :)

Yeah, too bad. Was mainly because of my mod. I won't now be able to do the bigger updates in time, and unfortunately it seems that nearly no one will take it late (had the same "problem" with another mod). But of course I'm still looking forward to the next update for playing the game.

~2 months with more content is really okay if I compare it with other top games.

I'm probably in the minority here, but the monthly updates were a BIG plus of Hillside. Well, if someone wished to have updates with more content, he could do that already. He just had to skip 1-2 game updates. The other way round is not possible, I have now to adapt to the long release cycle, too. A pity...

I agree. It's annoying to wait 5 weeks and be done with the update within an hour. I'll rather wait 3-4 months to play an entire episode with good story immersion for a couple of hours. Many top AVN creators appear to have adopted a continuous dev / production cycle with 3-5 major updates.
