I will be switching my Patreon account to charge up front before the end of the month.
This shouldn't affect existing patrons unless you decide to switch to a higher tier in the future. If you do then you will have to pay the difference in price immediately.

People have also asked me for a higher Patreon tier so I will be making some changes to the tiers next month. I'll make a new post about this once I've worked out the details.

And thank you for your comments regarding adding animation to Hillside. I will make a separate post about it after v0.8 has been released.

Very good, DB. I'm glad you're making this change. It's about time you are properly compensated for your hard work and dedication to this wonderful story. I know how much time and effort it takes to pose and light each scene. No way I would do it. I'm looking forward to supporting you at a new tier.

Yes. People can currently join the highest tier, get a month's access for free, and then leave before paying anything. Some people do it every month.
