FIRST, does the 90s filter I've made hurt anyone's eyes? (I hope it's subtle enough)
SECOND, how many of you know what Julia's holding? (Bearing in mind it's the 90s)
Thirdly, but not a question, sorry that Julia won't always be wearing the fish. I tried it. I was barely animating her as a result. This is better. (Also I did something fun with Nathan's rig too 👀)

I don’t see a place to leave general requests/suggestions, so I’ll just leave this here… I’m listening through the back catalogue of “Off Menu” with Ed Gamble and James Acaster. Episode 51 with Paul F Tompkins has a funny bit where Paul realizes how the canary in the coal mine is supposed to work. Depending on ads, the bit starts around 1hr 2min into the episode. They even talk about how his thoughts could be animated in a cartoon.

Filter looks okay to me, and that’s a tamagotchi!! Little egg shaped case is a dead giveaway to me but I also have had like four since I was a kid

I think the filter is okay, Julia is holding a tamagotchi, and maybe in future videos you could give her fish earrings or a fish shirt design.

Especially with the 90s hint, I immediately got Tamagotchi. The filter seems fine to me. For me, those effects can be tiring on a long video, but not for the length of a DBI clip.

My kids had Tamagotchi and one Furby. I’m more of an Gen 1 Transformer fan myself 😉 The 90s look is great! It reminds me of well… the 90s 😆

I’m slightly older so I knew it was a tamagotchi but only contextually. Since everyone else is getting it right away I think you’re good. If the filter “turns on at some point maybe add a few frames of static right before or maybe the digital display from a VHS recorder to the bottom? That way it’s clear that it’s part of a bit? 😊

Tamagotchi is the object. I barely remember them but so many parodies of them exist in media that they stayed in my memory.

I like the filter, glad you set aside the fish, and absolutely that's a tamagotchi, sir. Heh, I think the problem with asking the Tamagotchi question is that nearly-everyone is around the same age as the Drawfee crew; Most probably had one (Or a Digimon) next to their Beanie Babies and Tickle Me Elmos. Now, if you wanna go a bit more stupid on the obscurity, have Julia hold a Tiger Game.Com (Different from the handheld LCDs for the most-curious of reasons), or an OG Betty Spaghetty! I would also allow a Gateway PC with the monitor displaying AOL Instant Messanger and the 'Ask Jeeves' page.

Yay, Tamagotchi! I'm not bothered by the filter, and am glad you didn't do the fish - similarly to how I was also glad she didn't have a paper bag over her head in your animations last year. 🙂

1) It's pretty subtle so the VHS/Camcorder effect isn't bad 2) If I didn't know what a Tamagotchi is from the back shot I would disown myself, although I did think it was a hot pocket with a chain for a brief moment.

The filter is fine at first glance but definitely becomes a little much after a while. (Approximately, 3 to 5 seconds of staring.) It feels like the issue is the blur, for me. Also, yeah, I instantly recognized it as a tamagotchi even before I read your question. Great job!

First~ filter is ok, if you didn’t point it out, I would assume I was going nuts… so maybe turn it off if they ever exit the bit? Second~ that’s a Tamagotchi, obviously Finally~ I don’t blame you at all for not using the fish full time 🤣 not even Drawfee does that with their thumbnails, so I think you’re good to do what’s best for the presentation~
