🕑 Added 2021-11-20 15:19:04 +0000 UTCWell, we finally made it!! 5 years on patreon, and just at the mark.. we hit our goal of 5000 members! (we're actually quite over but there is always a fluctuation in members /payments throughout the month)
There are several members who have been here literally since day one, you all know who you are :) and to everyone who has supported me and this patron over the years I can't say thank you enough. One of the best things I think about this job is the amount of emails and messages I get from members who have also been able to start working for themselves by selling prints from the patreon which for me is just awesome - my plan originally was just to get out of my cruddy job and work for myself, but to evolve to a point where others can do the same, and then even employ people is pretty mindblowing for me.
Firstly, we still have lots more models coming this month! - it was just a slower start than usually but I will pack them in as the month draws to a close and we head into December (I will have Xmas stuff out as early as possible!!)
Looking forward at the next 5 years, especially taking in what i've learned over this past 5, there are a few small changes I do want to make. I would like to at some point look at hiring another artist so we can increase the amount of models released (I wouldn't slow down, it just means more models for y'all!) I never really want to increase the price of the membership, so that's not going to change and I don't ever really want to have a merchant tier, or charge more for people to sell prints (especially when you are the ones putting in the hard work) so yeah nothings going to change there either, so really if anything all we'll be doing is adding value over the next 6-12 months. More competitions, more printers to send out, more models! I also want to revamp the member depot at some point and get things organized in a much better fashion.
Since this is our Anniversary month, as a bonus for new members i'm going to leave the last months models up so they have a pretty large basket of prints, plus i'm going to overload the Xmas decorations and there will be a massive change to the starter pack in the first week of December so this really was a good month to join if you did :)
I did make a large post on the facebook group, so I won't fill this one up too much, but I did really want to post the link to the survey below.
ALL members are invited to fill the quick 10 question survey out, it takes on average around 1-2 minutes. If you would like a chance at the Elegoo Saturn you need to enter your email address on the last question. We will randomly pick a survey entry as the winner in the second week of December. It is a very basic survey for us to get some general feedback.
There are two conditions to for the Saturn draw:
*You need to fill in the survey before the end of November
*You need to be an active member, ie not a deleted or declined subscription at the time of the drawing

Congrats on 5000+ and 5yrs! Kind of amazing! The Mandalorian Camtano model drew me in, and was hoping for a detailed Mando prop blaster with moving parts. My kids love the Pokémon models too, thanks so much for those (Legendary Zekrom would be cool). Disney ears (Shanghai, Tokyo variety would be cool mashups), but the best models are the extras and little surprises
