So, I'm at the start of the Big O discussion as I type, and funny story that I don't remember hearing y'all bringing up, Cartoon Network asked for the crazy plot stuff. When they ordered the new season they ask Konaka Sato, and Katayama to reveal "what happened 40 years ago", mistakenly thinking the mystery was what made the show popular.
