WTP Update - "Puttsdale on Watch"
🕑 Added 2022-03-20 21:34:12 +0000 UTCThere's a burglar in Puttsdale -- and the Neighborhood Watch, headed up by all of the business and community leaders of the town, is on the move. It's decided that someone needs to do a night patrol...which is where you and Elaine Ling come in. You're both volunteers on the citizen's brigade, so now it's time to show your stuff.
So it's settled: after midnight, the Dievs' household becomes central headquarters, and you and Elaine set out to do your lap around the town. Will you catch the miscreants and bring them to a sore-bottomed justice? Or become distracted and wind up in trouble yourself...? You decide!
Really excited about this one -- I've been working on it so long that I bet you all forgot about it! This is the Neighborhood Watch mini-game, which should have three separate endings. There might be bugs, though, since I'm excited to get your thoughts on this. I'll fix them quickly -- just let me know!

I might just do that, Dirk. I’ve always had this lore in my mind of Leah changing the horoscopes to trick Kid into getting spanked, but the original story is lost in the archives right now…may need to dig it up!

There was a mini game about the horoscope back in the day wasn’t there! I had forgotten about that. Ever think about republishing that one, Victor?

This was a fun side adventure, and I like the way you dovetailed it into the horoscope back story (which I don't think exists in the current Puttsdale, but which you published as a freestanding piece at some point). There's really very little as satisfying as Leah getting a spanking...except maybe Kid Missy. :)

Got all the endings and loved this! Great vibe and atmosphere, all the interactions with Leah and Elaine were great. Any plans to continue this little story arc soon? :) Ending for sure left me wanting more! I also love what a central part of the setting the Dievs have already become. Really cool focus on them in the last few updates.

Oh, also, not sure if it causes an actual issue or not but another out of place message that appears at one point: "You silently agree. You take the key off the printer. This might come in handy...Then, you head back out into the cold, closing the door behind you."(success=0)" Cannot wait to find out who the Burglar is!

This is awesome! The self contained Puttsdale minigames are probably my favourite of the stories you put out. Great set up, great writing - happily surprised at the way the Horoscope storyline continues here! So, I got two endings (the failure and bringing Leah to them), I may just be missing something but I think perhaps the third is locked out by something. Couple little glitches I noticed: This message appearing: ""Sure. Kid Missy lives there," she says, pointing, "and Trent Bishop lives in that house behind. Both seniors. Everyone at Puttsdale High has a crush on Trent Bishop, but I personally don't get it." She wrinkles her nose. "He's so lazy." the number 0 cannot contain any values, let alone the string "Doug Boyle"►" And, if you let Leah go, she still appears with you during the ending when you get back to the Dievs house. Not sure if this is intentional or not, but if you kiss Elaine after dealing with or letting Leah go, Leah still intercedes.
