Digital portraits are not my strongest, which is very weird for me, because I am at least decent on paper... How is this so different?

that is true! it is quite difficult at start to get used to not looking down at your hand

Maybe the difference is that you look at what you are drawing and your hand at the same time, and you look at a monitor for digital. And your mind has not made the transition from paper to digital drawing position. As for the portrait, nice pose.
