Hey Carbs, you can definitely do that and I tend to do that for a lot of white armour, well normally I would use something like Ulthuan Grey then highlight with pure white. It's very subtle though and we never did that with the Tau stuff because all the chipping does the work of defining the edges.

Great video, Dave. Just curious, is the Corax white base with White Scar edge highlight inadvisable?

Thank you Dante! The ochre is really nice yes, I think it's still my favourite Tau scheme, even if the white is quick.

I would definitely try it Parker. You could perhaps try adding some doombull too if its not dark enough.

They look incredible. The old school ochre scheme is gorgeous. However, the white scheme may have pushed me into painting white scars for the heresy release.

Great video. I am tempted to try the white recipe in some Horus Heresy World Eaters. I think it could work quite well!

Really like the subtle changes you made to the schemes - defo adds more contrast. The soft shading on that ochre scheme in particular looks beautiful - makes painting a crisis suit very tempting!
