Belated thanks for this Dave. Super helpful. Also ordered the magnifying headset! Gotta be sure not to make a habit of using it too much or my eyes might go inwards! Lol

Andrea Massimo Guiotto

Damn you made it look sooo easy to do 😩

Adrian Chia

Thanks so much! Excited to try it out.

Amazing video thanks for the great content! Just wondering if there is a transcription/written recipe available somewhere? I'd like to have this next to me whilst attempting it without scrubbing through the video if possible.

Infernal Brush

Hello Adam, I usually use either screamer pink or khorne red or a combination of both mixed into the skin tone and glazed around the scars, then depending on the size of the scar usually screaming skull or a warm off white as a sharp highlight. Hope this helps!

Adam Triana

Hello! One question - What colors are you using to paint the scars on light skinned marines. Seems like tones of pinks, around the scar and a fairly off white color on the raised areas, but wasn't sure what color combo you might normally use. THANKS!

Awesome video and great resource - looking forward to putting a few tips here into practice soon! Also, painting the iris around the reflection dot?! 🤯 - incredible!

Another brilliant tutorial!! Thanks Dave!

Great video Dave, looking forward to using it. And finally I have a reason to open the bloodreaver and knight questor paints that I picked up ages ago and never used 😎

Hellglazer Painting

Really really useful! Everyone generally has several heads just in bits boxes so plenty of focused practice is in the pipeline.

I’ve been looking forward to this. Awesome video as always dude! This will be an invaluable resource while I work on my black templars.

Thanks Stuart!

Thank you! I used a mixture of brushes, I've been using a lot of Rosemary & Co Series 33, actually really cheap brushes around 1/3 of the price of W&N. The others I use are W&N series 7 miniature, that might be the ones with a more triangular shape.

Thank you Anthony!

Thanks, amazing tutorial. I am going to practise a lot this tutorial. By the other hand, could be interesting to have the list of the colors in the description, because is more easy later when you have to search them.

Another video smashed out the park Dave.

Great work... and great camera work - seeing the "thin glazing" this close was really helpful for me, I have apparently not been getting the paint thin enough. Curious - what size/type of brush are you using on this? The body looks like it is pretty thick, but it really looks like it retains the point very well. Thanks again!

Anthony O'Donnell

Painting skin is something I find really hard so really enjoyed this video on how you tackle faces. Thank you
