Update: How to sculpt rocky bases
🕑 Added 2022-07-10 19:16:29 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I've had a bit of a busy week trying to get through the last of my commission work before GD and a lot of real life distractions, however I thought I would post a quick update to keep you all in the loop. I've been making a quick video on sculpting rocky bases. One of which is for one of my GD entries the Mangler Squigs which I will also be covering the painting process starting this month. Everything is prepped and ready for paint now, I may well make a few adjustments along the way but this is basically how I want the piece to look. Both this and the Skaven basing video should be available around the middle of next week. I am aiming for around 3-4 videos this month if all goes to plan, hoping the squiggys will be a good one!
Thanks everyone!
-Dave

I know things have been rocky lately, but whilst these vids may seem bas-ic - I know you've got the stones to pull through.

Great idea, it looks like it'd be a real pain to paint othero.

It's got to be one of my favourite kits for Gloomspite, absolutely love it. Ah that's perfect then Lee, I hope the video will be useful!

Haha yeah it's a bit tricky, when I painted the original I left the tongue off and filled after painting which again I've decided to do this time. Except now I've left the whole top head unglued for easier access to the mouth! Should be all good!

Looking forward to these. Squigs are a fantastic project. Hope you remembered to go back and gap fill the tongue in the top squigs mouth. Would be gutted for you if you missed it.

Looking forward to this, particular the squigs as I have this model built and ready for paint ππ»
