Hey Dave, great video. I have a question about the plinths. Do you paint them in any way, like primer, or leave them as they come?

Benjamin Fox

Super useful. I've already made a bunch of pieces ready for basing. Just thin pieces, going to try some chunky ones tonight.

I think the rotary tool is very useful for adding the texture as milliput becomes very difficult to work with once dry. You can also sculpt in any details/texture as its drying but yes for this method the rotary tool is pretty much essential. Thanks for the feedback as ever Tim!

Thank you Matthew!

Always super helpful content. I can see myself using this for both basing and terrain pieces where I want to add some character and detail. The surface texture on the rock looks like it would be hard to achieve with just a knife. To get the same amount of variation in the surface is the rotary tool pretty much essential?

Matthew

Great vid again Dave

Love the video never thought about using a rotary tool to create texture.

Clarkey

Great video as always. The first part’s a bit like making a puff pastry!

Andrew Steel (CMDante)

Awesome vid as usual broodah and great to see an actual video of this method as there’s a bit more technique to it than just words in an article can easily convey!
