Completely understand the competing concerns there. It's a tough balance between trying to maintain immersion with a new dialect while also making things intelligible to all.

Yeah. That's what I've been thinking to add, but the problem is that the south twang is hard to read. Some readers may get distracted from the narrative. But yeah, the idea is good :)

This was very well done; loved the stylistic choices and imagery. One thing to try is not necessarily, like, always going for the, like, totally valley girl speech pattern thingy? For example, y'all might could've gone and stuck with the good ol' country gal accent y'all was fixin' to give Daisy there before ya went an' made her talk like one uh them there city gals from Cal-ee-forn-ya. Seriously though, wonderful story; I always enjoy your work. :-)
