Level:
We are iterating the Alpha Camp implementation, going over object collision models and addressing feedback for all sorts of objects that are placed around in the camp. At the same time we are also continuing with some color concepts as paintover on the Alpha Camp blockout views.
The Sky Village is also getting some concept love, we are working on more detailed house designs for interior and exterior.
Code:
This week we implemented item enhancements. This feature allows you to go to certain NPCs to upgrade your weapons and armor in exchange for items and currency.
Speaking of armor, that feature was implemented this week, as well. The armor items make use of the outfit system to display on the character, so there are 5 armor slots as well (head, chest, hands, legs, feet). The armor stats of each equipped piece get added together for the total armor rating.
In addition to that, we implemented quick slot functionality for weapon and armor items. This allows you to quickly equip and unequip them via the quick slot system.
The quick slot radial menu received some love, as well.
On the sandbox side, one new tutorial (Event example: Door) was added, explaining the basic setup on how to make interactable doors. We also started work on an animation sequence tutorial explaining how the editor works.
Character:
The Feral Lion model is now finished on the content creation side and is now awaiting rigging and engine implementation where we will also give it some nice fur.
Animations:
Part of the animation department was on holiday this week, so not as many updates there as usual. But we did get started on polishing up the Blackwing enemy.
We also started to animate a set of very hot poses for a Max x Shey x Shiva threesome. If and how this content becomes a minigame for the story mode is not yet decided but we wanted to make some threesome poses again.
Design:
We have finished the design for trading with NPCs. There will be discoverable trader NPCs all over Kerpal. They happily buy all the items you want to sell, but most of them will be specialized on selling items according to their profession. A herbalist like Zianna will mostly offer potions, recipes and ingredients. A smith like Zyke mostly sells armor, weapons and smithing materials. Buy prices and sell prices vary between traders and can be changed via quests. Trader inventories can be dynamic too and will not only be influenced by quests, but also develop with chapter progression. So it's worth it to pay the different traders a visit from time to time.

Okay but they're only doing a fraction of what sandbox can do if they just focus on sex. The fact they even re-created a setting for Cyberpunk 2077; why not show a fight? Why not show an area that cyber never covered? It's not all about sex imo

I do agree a good story will help but also amazing sfw creations are good too. Again, imo, if one only uses the sandbo for just sex, they're only initating a fraction of what the powerful sandbox can do

I personally am waiting for the story to get fleshed out. I like my sex scenes and I’ll checkout any new ones but every good scene is backed up with a good story and I can’t wait for this one!

that's what i mean... focus on the sandbox. there are lots of creators out there doing amazing things. i saw a video of cyberpunk 2077 sex scene created in wild life. make the tools easy to use so that more people can create their own animations and scenes

How come? Personally imo if one only focuses on the sex, they're missing out as the sandbox is so powerful almost anything can be created. I've seen some amazing buildings (modern), and other things that are sfw made. Personally, I'm really excitied for these rpg elements being added which is why WL attracted me. There's more than just sex, there's a whole story, world, and lore to explore. Plus, I myself have created some other things that I can't wait to show off in the discord that show a little with what I mean. WL's more than just about the sex; it can be a real content creator and deeper in other areas that should attract a wide audience for more than just sex

Aw man all of this is going to be too much fun when this gets implemented, showing that WL Isn't just about creation in sandbox or sex scenes, this is going to be almost a full on (Adult) rpg and I'm all for that rpg part. Really exciting stuff.

they should really pivot this project to focus on sex and animations (edit: i mean the whole sandbox/creator portion of the game). people are uploading some really great 3dx videos online using this software. i think at the end of the day, there are a very small minority of people who are going to unironically play this game "for the plot". at the end of the day, i respect that the devs should do what makes them happy and achieve their dreams of making an AAA game with combat and plot... but what really sets this game apart for me is the quality of the sexy stuff.
