Quick notice in advance:
We pushed a patch build which fixes the Lovense toys not working and enables the Vulkan RHI (you can start the game with Vulkan with the command line argument -Vulkan).
The files in the download posts from last week and in the launcher have been updated.
Now let's see what we have been up to this week…
Level: We have been working on the new Lake Village layout and finalising the cliffside area around the lake. Under the hood we also started to optimise materials and reduce the number of master materials.
Code: Implemented a couple of interact objects in collaboration with design. Things like doors, readable note/letter items and cooking. As mentioned above, we fixed an issue with Lovense toys not working and updated the builds on the release posts from last week.
Character: Concepts for the female fisher villagers are ready to be modelled out. Maya’s Warrior outfit is coming together nicely and we started to work on a male Max-based character named Tarvis - a shady looking dude you can meet in Umbar as well as Inola, an artisan from Umbar.
Making tiger patterns is not an easy task, but Agon’s texture is still making good progress.
Animations: In animation we are getting more NPC routine animations ready for the design department as well as implementing the first batch of creature animations.
Design: A couple of things are happening here simultaneously:
- Finished the cave of wisdom cutscene blockout.
- Designed player interact objects (sleep, cook, door locks, etc.)
- Sky village main quest design (high council and entering the cave of wisdom)
- Apoc design (characters, buildings, lore)
- Shiva huntress quest & character design

and don't forget whos designing the game, hint: it isn't you! Im sure the creator has a better idea of their vision than you do... seeing as it isn't your vision or game. Half the game is porn, half is an open world story. It's weird to act this entitled. If you don't enjoy aspects of the game then they are not for you. So weirdly myopic and self-centered.

Well the outfits need to be true to the setting to be believable. Non-industrial jungle tribes wont be running around in yoga pants, how ridiculous and immersion breaking would that be :D Also if all the characters are constantly running around in super skimpy exposed outfits it would quickly become uninteresting. By having enough "conservative" non revealing outfits to contrast the sexy ones its going to make them feel that much more special and rewarding to look at. And dont worry there will be enough sexyness going on anyway ;)
Spiders are monsters and not Kerpali, so they are there just for fighting :)

Well, having the option there for those that would be into that sort of thing is their choice to make. You'll always have the option to avoid it, but if it is a forced thing and you don't have a choice to choose then yeah, your annoyance and flaccidity would be valid.

im a butt guy and that is a giant green wall blocking my view in a porn game for no reason. i would expect conservative nun armor like that in a woke normie game that isnt literally porn. how about yoga pants instead of a giant pile of jungle trash that isnt sexy? also are the spiders going to have sex? i hope not. their presence will indeed shrivel my boner while trying to play a porn game. dont forget why your game is different and successful (its the porn)

Based off what the quote is, I would assume it means to normalize adult content within games and have them be taken more seriously as forms of art.

Nice to see an update. First Maya's warrior outfit is coming along well. Everything else seems to be. But that spider enemy; holy that looks scary to fight. I'm not afraid of spiders but those who have that fear. Yeah they certainly will be frightened. Other than that I'm looking forward to this and. more content in general like I hope people do on my end.

No they have focused on sandbox for a long time now. Now they need to work on the story mode and just impove the sandbox from time to time

Now these are the updates I've been waiting on this whole time! Another developer (that Steve knows) once said "trying to break the taboo of adult games". From what I've seen in the last couple months, you're all on track to doing just that. Keep the amazing work going! Look forward to supporting Wild Life both in and out of patreon.
