Billy said Goldwing was inspired by her friendship with Olivia Rodrigo and wanting to protect her from the media! Also, not my responsibility to overheated is an actual story. She was shot by photographers walking down the street and I think it was the first time the world saw her without baggy clothes. They criticized every single detail about her body and so this was a way for her to let her anger and frustration out. She has a documentary on Apple TV that shows you a huge portion of her journey. It also showcases a lot of her unhealthy relationship at the time leading up to the release of happier than ever. If you haven’t, listen to her guitar songs ep. It was a drop between happier than ever and hit me hard and soft. It’s 2 very beautiful but devastating songs.

I have never loved or connected with an entire album by Billie like I do Taylor Swift or Beyoncé. I will continue to always listen to her new albums though, because while I may not love the entire thing, I do always find through that first listen some songs that I absolutely adore.
