You could do something were there used to power spells like the teeth or a large ward. People can pull from it but only 1 person can at a time and a person can only pull from 1 source at a time and it takes concentration to fill and pull from like mediation levels of contention. Then were they an only cast from there personal pool. With the caveat people can add to there pool from an external only at the speed they Regen to a max at 2X Regen speed(natural Regen + external mana)= 2X. This makes it so cities can have descent wards and it takes lots of effort to use external pools. There would be some people still able to cast well using a pool it would take like 2X the time to cast do to not wanting to mess up the spell. To justify these restriction. concentration needed scale with amount of mana being channeled and to move mana between 2 pools (Personal and External) you need to resonate there frequentness the difficulty rising with amount in each pool and the amount being channeled.

That's a good question. Actually, the magic in his body goes through a process before it leaves. The pure magic is flavored to an affinity of his choice, and then it leaves the body as a spell. Simply keeping mana outside in a formless structure will cause it to dissipate or leave his control. The summon skeleton spell is a loophole to this rule, because when it's put into the bones shards for future summoning, it's already considered a spell. It already has structure to prevent it from dissipating. He can't take the mana he's put into the bones back into his body, but he can edit the spells that are already inside of it

Something that bothers me in all settings like this is can he make a spell that either holds or stores magic in a stone to basically make mana pool constrained by his Regen and time. If he can how if he cant why not?

Nope, he can't. He's a complete novice in regards to the soul, which is an extremely hard topic to even become considered knowledgeable in. The only thing he can do right now is change the skeletal structure via the purple strands. Thanks for reading!

can allen copy the soul strands of his summons? if so he can keep instinct packets for different summons in his robe. and he could start to use his own bones to hold the necrotic mana stone. like a ring setting within his collor bone or sturnum.

Well, a chapter usually comes out every 3 or so days if I'm not busy, but my school festival's next week and I have a lot of stuff to prepare, so I'd wager a chapter every 4-5 days.

Prolly not due to the self-inflicted wounds thing. While it would go well with Numb Senses, I don't see him as the kind to min/max THAT far.

It's cool to see how Alen stacks up to another necromancer. Now, I doubt that woman was a very standard example either, but she was a necromancer nonetheless. And since he seems to have run out of summons, he might have to come up with a way to create a summon from nothing. The possibilities are always so exciting, wondering what Alen will come up with next. Also, a small thing I really like is that the current threshold is listed in the table now. Thanks for the update! Do you have any sort of update schedule in mind?

So would Alan be thinking of moving into/developing some blood magic type of stuff after seeing that, or would that not really interest him due to the whole self inflicted wounds thing?

Nope. If he has a corpse, it's either a skeleton or a wraith, and that's assuming he figures out how wraiths are made.

Just to clarify dose he still need to study the wraiths to be able to make then. Then if he makes an undead can he make a wraith out of it or is it mutually exclusive
